Microsoft have laid off an additional 650 employees at Xbox as a result of the Activision Blizzard deal closing.
This follows previous layoffs over the last couple of years including 1,900 at Activision Blizzard, hundreds at Bethesda including studio closures and layoffs at studios including 343.
In a memo obtained by The Verge, Phil Spencer explains that it impacting corporate support staff mostly and “No games, devices or experiences are being cancelled and no studios are being closed as part of these adjustments today.”
