Microsoft and Asobo Studios have announced a Collectors Edition for the upcoming iteration of Flight Simulator dubbed Flight Simulator 2024.
The collector’s edition is about $400 AUD (although no link to an Australian release is found at the time of writing) and features the following items:
- Aviator Edition metal box (steelbook) with digital game code (Premium Deluxe) with 30 additional aircraft
- Limited and numbered Herpa metal model airplane of the Antonov An-225 in 1/400 scale
- De Havilland Canada CL-415 as DLC for Microsoft Flight Simulator
- Exclusive flight bag with 6 logos to attach
- Exclusive Flight Simulator 2024 logo pin and key ring
- High-quality lithograph
- Personal letter to the fans from Jorg Neumann

A Steel Book edition has also been announced and is available at EB Games locally for $189.95 AUD.

The system specs have also been revealed and whilst less storage is needed than the previous edition, you’ll need lots more of everything else. This game will stream more to your session and store less on your machine. See below image for details:

This feels like a good time to remind you that the game is also coming to the Xbox Series consoles and Xbox Cloud Streaming.
The new release has a tonne of new features and interesting changes including a career mode. Here is an interesting extract about the digital twin planet:
