In an update sent out to PlayStation staff, Hermen Hulst has shared the news that Firewalk Studios and Neon Koi are closing.

Firewalk Studios has also shared a transparent Tweet with followers explaining the situation:

The closure of Firewalk comes after an unsuccessful launch of Concord a few months ago and Sony pulling the game and refunding all players.

We have spent considerable time these past few months exploring all our options.   

After much thought, we have determined the best path forward is to permanently sunset the game and close the studio.

We at 1-Up enjoyed our time with Concord and the fact that it felt like video games did when we were in school, we wish all impacted by the closures the best.
