We have some Nintendo switch 2 news everyone and it’s great news remain calm remain calm now its not the announcement we all want so bad but it is an announcement that I personally could be very happy about as a physical games collector.
Nintendo themselves have confirmed the Switch 2 will still support software designed for the original Switch. However, the announcement didn’t delve into specifics. It remains unclear if physical Switch cartridges can be inserted directly into the Switch successor, or if this announcement is purely in relation to digital games purchased through the online store.
Now the exact wording of Nintendo’s tweet assured us that “Nintendo Switch software” will be accessible on the “successor to Nintendo Switch.” with this phrasing I want to see this as confirmation that both digital and physical games will be playable on the successor but until proper conformation of this I’m going to contain my excitement but this regardless should only be seen as a positive.
