So a remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion could be real and according to some sources revealed next month.

According to known leaker Extas1s, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remake real and Xbox could announce the game as early as an Xbox Direct event in January and release next year.

According to previous rumour’s from early in the year the deleted Reddit post from an alleged former employee of Virtuos Games leaked that The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake is in development and is being built in Unreal Engine 5. Those rumour’s also hinted at a 2025 release for the game.

The first word of a remake or remaster of the game actually came during the FTC’s investigation into Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The documents revealed the game was expected during fiscal year 2022, but that, obviously, never came to be. Since then, nothing has been said publicly by Microsoft or Bethesda on its status.
