Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Sells 1.3 Million Units in First Year

We Need A Sequel

Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has sold over 1.3 million units worldwide in its first year since release. Despite critical acclaim, the sales figures fell short of Ubisoft’s internal expectations, leading to the cancellation of a planned sequel.

While the game sold 1.3 million units, Ubisoft considered this figure below their expectations. This outcome has sparked discussions about the challenges of reviving classic franchises in a competitive gaming market.

The cancellation of the sequel has raised questions about the future of the Prince of Persia series. Fans remain hopeful for future instalments, but the series’ direction depends on market dynamics and Ubisoft’s strategic decisions. I for one hope that they change their mind and green light a sequel to this amazing game.
