On February 13, 2025, Nexon hosted a developer livestream for The First Descendant, unveiling details about the upcoming February update and future plans.

Key Announcements:

• Season Update Policy Change: The development team acknowledged that the previous three-month seasonal update cycle lacked content scale and quality. As a result, Season 3 is scheduled for release this summer, featuring entirely new content, including a 1st-Anniversary event and collaboration. The previously planned March update will be rebranded as Season 2, Episode 2.
• Season 2 Episode 2 (Beyond the Void) Sneak Peek: The upcoming update will expand the story, introducing a new region called Sigma Sector. Players will encounter key clues about ‘Dia,’ the daughter of Gley, and face a new enemy, Obliviant—a squad of Descendants now under the control of the Vulgus. Additionally, a new Descendant, Serena, will be introduced. Serena is a fire-attribute character with the ability to fly and utilize skills mid-air. An Ultimate Descendant, Ultimate Blair, will also be added, bringing a fresh, comedic tone to the game. Furthermore, a new Arche Fellow, the Labrador Retriever, will have the ability to gain additional rounds instead of automatically dismantling items. An Arche Tuning System will allow players to enhance their Descendants’ Arche to further boost performance growth.
• Season 2 Week 11 Update Details: The update includes Hot-springs Skins “Oasis Party,” featuring new skins for male and female Descendants, a Winter Hot-springs area in Albion, and new emotes. Aiming to release new skins twice a month, with a new skin also scheduled for February 27th. The Ultimate Weapon Rework includes improvements to The Last Dagger, Sigvore’s Proof, and Restored Relic. Additionally, Rare Weapon Rebalance has been implemented.

The First Descendant has introduced a Hot Springs event, adding new swimsuit skins for female characters and a universal swim trunk for male characters.

Female Characters:

• Sharen: Features a stylish swimsuit with a unique design.
• Ines: Showcases a chic bikini ensemble.
• Gley: Presents a bold and revealing swimwear option.
• Viessa: Offers a distinctive swimsuit with a creative top.
• Freyna: Includes a fashionable swimsuit paired with a new hairstyle.
• Hailey: Features a sporty swimsuit look.
• Bunny: Presents a playful and vibrant swimwear design.
• Luna: Showcases a cool and stylish swimsuit outfit.

Male Characters:

• Esiemo and Blair: Receive a universal swim trunk, offering a consistent look for male characters.

These additions enhance the game’s aesthetic and provide players with diverse customization options.
