Nightdive Studios has announced the upcoming release of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster for the Nintendo Switch. This remastered version of the 1999 classic action RPG, formerly known as System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, is set to launch on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
The remaster aims to modernize the original game while preserving its core experience. Players will once again navigate the derelict Von Braun starship, confronting the rogue AI SHODAN and the terrifying hybrid mutants that have overrun the vessel. The remaster will feature enhanced graphics, improved multiplayer support, and compatibility with existing mods and custom maps developed by the gaming community.
