Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, has announced that future Xbox showcases will feature logos of all platforms where their games are available, including PlayStation 5. This initiative aims to provide transparency about game availability across different platforms.
In an interview with XboxEra, Spencer emphasized the importance of honesty and transparency, stating, “I just want to be transparent with people – for shipping on Nintendo Switch, we’re gonna put that. For shipping on PlayStation, on Steam… People should know the storefronts where they can get our games.”

This approach reflects Microsoft’s commitment to making games accessible to a broader audience, regardless of the platform. By showcasing the PlayStation logo during Xbox presentations, they acknowledge the availability of their titles on Sony’s console, ensuring that viewers are informed about where they can play the games.
This strategy aligns with Microsoft’s broader multiplatform approach, which includes releasing first-party titles on various consoles and platforms to reach a wider player base. For instance, games like “Forza Horizon 5” and “Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition” are planned for release on PlayStation 5.
By adopting this transparent approach, Microsoft aims to foster a more inclusive gaming community, where players are aware of all available options for enjoying their favourite titles.
