In a shocking turn of events that was never on my 2025 bingo card the Samurai Pizza Cats are back in a brand new video game Publisher Red Dunes Games and developer BLAST ZERO have announced Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past!, a new yet retro action RPG based on the 1990s anime by Tatsunoko Production.

Samurai Pizza Cats: Blast from the Past! is in development for Windows PC (via Steam) and “all major platforms”, with a release set for sometime in 2026.

That’s right folks! After more then 30 years the Samurai Pizza Cats finally return! The Big Cheese has an evil Scheme up his sleeve and it’s up to you, the player to stop him from taking over Little Tokyo!
