Tales Of The Shire: A Lord Of The Rings Game Has Been Delayed Again

Dear Fellow Hobbits

“Tales of the Shire: A Lord of the Rings Game” has been delayed to July 29, 2025. Initially set for a March 25 release, the developers, Wētā Workshop, announced the postponement to ensure a consistent and cozy experience across all platforms. They aim to make the game feel like “a warm hug from Middle-earth,” with attention to details like “foot-hair styles to the fluffiest cakes.”

This is the second delay for the game; it was previously moved from a 2024 release to early 2025. The developers have not provided specific reasons for the delays but emphasize their commitment to delivering a polished and enjoyable experience.

“Tales of the Shire” offers players the opportunity to create their own Hobbit character and immerse themselves in the tranquil life of the Shire, engaging in activities like farming, gardening, decorating, and trading with fellow residents. The game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
