About Reburn
Reburn is an independent game development studio based in Ukraine, comprising over 110 members, many of whom have extensive experience from the Metro series and the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. The rebranding to Reburn reflects the studio’s commitment to creating original intellectual properties and exploring new creative directions. The studio is being led by Dmytro Lymar, a twenty-year industry veteran.
In a statement, Lymar said:
Reburn is proud to introduce La Quimera, which draws upon our success crafting narrative-driven shooter games for the Metro series. We look forward to sharing this mysterious new world with players and hope they revel in suiting up to join the fight.
Introducing La Quimera
La Quimera is set in a dystopian future where players assume the role of a down-on-their-luck private military contractor (PMC) equipped with advanced weaponry and technology. The game combines elements of Latin American folklore with futuristic technology, offering a rich and immersive narrative experience. Players can engage in both single-player campaigns and co-op modes, with the latter accommodating up to three players.

The game’s narrative is co-created by filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) and writer E.J.A. Warren, bringing a cinematic storytelling approach to the gaming medium. The development utilizes the 4A Engine, known for its capability to render detailed and expansive environments, ensuring a visually captivating experience.

La Quimera is currently available for wishlisting on Steam, with a release date yet to be announced. The game is being developed exclusively for PC. Reburn has expressed enthusiasm about sharing this new world with players and is committed to delivering a unique and engaging experience.
For fans of the Metro series and newcomers alike, La Quimera represents an exciting evolution in Reburn’s creative journey, promising a fresh and immersive addition to the sci-fi shooter genre.
