Excitement surrounding Bungie’s upcoming Marathon reboot has escalated following the discovery of pre-order bonuses on Steam. While the game has yet to release, the pre-order details have already been uncovered, revealing exclusive content that players can expect to unlock if they purchase the game in advance.

Found on Bungie’s SteamDB page, who noticed that that extra editions of Marathon and packages relating to pre-order bonuses were uploaded to Steam. updates that add extra editions of Marathon and packages that seem to be preorder bonuses, as well as DLC that unlocks in Destiny 2 upon the purchase of Marathon (almost certainly cosmetics)

What Is Marathon?

Marathon is a reboot of Bungie’s classic 1994 first-person shooter of the same name, set in a science fiction universe that blends narrative-driven gameplay with intense combat. The original Marathon was notable for its advanced (for the time) graphics, engaging story, and multiplayer capabilities, making it an influential title for the FPS genre. The upcoming version of Marathon is set to feature updated visuals, mechanics, and new story elements while retaining the core elements that made the original game a cult classic.

Marathon is scheduled to release in 2025 for the Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC.
