Yes, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is scheduled for release on June 26, 2025, exclusively for the PlayStation 5. This announcement was made by Hideo Kojima during a panel at SXSW 2025, where a new 10-minute trailer was also unveiled, providing insights into the game’s storyline and gameplay.

The game continues the journey of Sam Bridges, portrayed by Norman Reedus, alongside returning actors like Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker. New additions to the cast include Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and George Miller. The narrative is set 11 months after the formation of the United Cities of America, introducing automated deliveries and a new opposing faction.

Pre-orders for Death Stranding 2 will commence on March 17, 2025, with various editions available, including a Collector’s Edition. This special edition features a letter from Kojima, postcards, a keychain, an enemy figure, digital game content, and 48 hours of early access.

Additionally, Kojima announced a concert tour titled “The Strands of Harmony World Tour,” set to begin on November 8, 2025, featuring music from the game.
