Bethesda’s Oblivion Unreal Engine 5 remake could be releasing Very Soon

Elder Scrolls update is reportedly set for reveal soon

Recent reports suggest that a remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is in development, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 to enhance graphics and gameplay. According to leaks, the remake will feature improvements such as a more forgiving stamina system, a friendlier user interface, a redesign aimed at attracting younger players, a combat system inspired by titles like Dark Souls and Assassin’s Creed, modernized archery mechanics with both first and third-person perspectives, and an overhauled stealth damage system.

Industry insiders, including Klobrille and NateTheHate, have corroborated the existence of the Oblivion remake, with speculation pointing toward a 2025 release. However, official confirmation from Bethesda or related parties is still pending.

Additionally, internal documents from ZeniMax, Bethesda’s parent company, have indicated plans for an “Oblivion Remaster” targeting the 2022 fiscal year. It’s unclear whether this project has evolved into the current remake or remains separate.

Given the lack of official announcements, it’s advisable to approach these reports with caution. As more information becomes available, updates are likely to be shared through Bethesda’s official channels.
