Pocketpair Publishing Warns Gamers To Not Expect ‘More Palworld’

Nice

Pocketpair, the developer behind the popular game Palworld, has recently warned fans not to expect too much more content like the game, at least in the immediate future. Palworld is a unique multiplayer open-world survival game that blends elements of Pokémon, crafting, and survival mechanics with an interesting (and sometimes dark) twist, allowing players to catch creatures called “Pals” and use them for various tasks, including combat, farming, and even factory labor.

Pocketpair Publishing is dedicated to bringing indie titles to life. However, the brand’s publishing manager, John Buckley, recently issued something of a warning. He mentioned that while Pocketpair Publishing bears the name, it’s not related to the creation of Palworld, nor should it be assumed that ‘more Palworld’ is coming from the games that sign to the publishing label.

On Twitter, Buckley wrote:

I’m very nervous to reveal our first batch of games.

Not because I think the reception will be bad (they are all bangers), but because I worry people will just expect more Palworld.

PPP’s goal is to help cool indies get made so I hope you like our first round of games!

It will be interesting to see what games they have coming down the pipeline and if they have the chance to even come close to the success that PalWorld has been fingers crossed.
