Bandai has announced a new project for the Digimon Card Game, teasing the introduction of a digital card client app. This revelation comes from a promotional video shown at an event leading up to Digimon Con, suggesting a digital platform to complement the physical card game to rival Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Bandai has recently filed a trademark for “Digimon Alysion” in Japan, sparking speculation about a new Digimon project. The trademark, made public today, includes a logo featuring a globe surrounded by digital string, hinting at a possible digital or virtual component could this be the name of the new mobile game time will tell.

For more details, Bandai has invited fans to tune into Digimon Con on March 19, 2025. The event is expected to provide comprehensive information about the upcoming digital client and other developments in the Digimon Card Game universe.
This initiative aligns with Bandai’s ongoing efforts to expand the Digimon Card Game experience, following the release of various booster sets and special products in recent years.
Outside of the card game app, we’ll hopefully hear more about upcoming Digimon anime and video game projects like Digimon Story: Time Stranger coming later this year. Right now, there is no Digimon anime on TV after Digimon Ghost Game ended in 2023, so it would be cool if we heard about a new series at Digimon Con later this week.
