The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International have officially announced a multi-year partnership to launch LEGO Pokémon sets starting in 2026. This collaboration aims to bring beloved Pokémon characters to life through LEGO bricks, offering fans new ways to experience the Pokémon universe.
Julia Goldin, Chief Product & Marketing Officer of the LEGO Group, has stated that “this partnership will create a range of new possibilities for Trainers and builders alike.” Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, added, “The LEGO Group and Pokémon have strong shared values of imagination, creativity and fun, making this the perfect partnership to deliver unique, meaningful and engaging ways for Trainers to experience the Pokémon brand.”
A teaser video reveals a LEGO set based on Pikachu, featuring its iconic tail constructed from yellow bricks. However, specific details about other Pokémon to be featured and the design styles of the sets have yet to be disclosed.
This partnership signifies the end of The Pokémon Company’s collaboration with Mattel’s Mega Bloks and Mega Construx lines, which have produced Pokémon building sets for over two decades.
Fans can anticipate a range of new possibilities as LEGO and Pokémon combine their shared values of imagination, creativity, and fun. More information will be available as the launch date approaches.
