A previously lost Xenosaga spin-off, Xenosaga: Pied Piper, has been rediscovered and shared online after 21 years. Originally released in 2004 exclusively for Japanese mobile phones, this turn-based RPG is considered a canonical part of the Xenosaga series. Its narrative provides essential backstory for the series, following police detective Jan Sauer as he investigates terrorist attacks on hyperspace travel routes.
The game’s preservation was made possible through the efforts of the Keitai Wiki Discord community and individual contributors. An anonymous donor provided the original game files, which were then reverse-engineered by community members, including a user known as xyz. A fan translation is currently underway, with an expected release in the coming months.

Xenosaga: Pied Piper was developed by Monolith Soft and published by Namco for the Vodafone Live mobile platform. Its revival allows fans to experience a significant chapter in the Xenosaga narrative that was previously inaccessible.
