In a recent official blog post titled “GDC 2025: Opening a Billion Doors with Xbox,” Microsoft inadvertently revealed a mock-up of a new Xbox user interface (UI) that included a “Steam” tab. This tab appeared alongside existing categories such as “Installed,” “Game Pass,” and “Recently Added,” suggesting potential integration of Steam games within the Xbox ecosystem.
The image, briefly visible before being removed, depicted the Xbox UI across various devices, including a TV, tablet, and handheld console, all featuring the “Steam” label. This has led to speculation that Microsoft is exploring ways to unify game libraries from different platforms, allowing users to access their Steam titles through the Xbox app.

While this feature is still in the early stages of development and may not be finalized, it aligns with Microsoft’s vision of creating a more integrated and accessible gaming experience across multiple platforms.
Will the next Xbox let players play games on their Steam library? Let us know in the comments

One response to “Xbox Blog Post Accidentally Leaks “Steam” Tab in User Interface”
if this keeps the platform alive, I don’t care.
I can envision PC games including a XBOX model selection option that will allow you to chose to run it in the suggested default setting for that game on that specific hardware.
