Sucker Punch Productions has reaffirmed that Ghost of Yotei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, is slated for release in 2025. Andrew Goldfarb, the studio’s senior communications manager, recently posted on X (formerly Twitter) seeking an experienced community and support specialist to assist in launching the game “this year,” indicating the 2025 release window remains unchanged.
Set in 1603 around Japan’s Mount Yotei, Ghost of Yotei introduces Atsu, a new female protagonist. The game promises expansive environments, including verdant steppes and snowy tundra’s, and emphasizes wind-based mechanics guiding players through its world.
While a specific release date hasn’t been announced, Sucker Punch’s recent job posting suggests the game is on track for a 2025 debut. However, some industry observers note that publishers are monitoring Rockstar Games’ upcoming release of GTA 6, with plans to adjust their schedules to avoid competition.

I am torn if I should wait for PC version, or grab this on PS5 when it drops to under $60
