Leaked images from Respawn Entertainment and Bit Reactor’s upcoming Star Wars turn-based tactics game have surfaced online ahead of its official reveal at Star Wars Celebration on April 19, 2025. The screenshots, reportedly from a mid-2023 build codenamed “Bruno,” showcase gameplay reminiscent of the XCOM series, reflecting Bit Reactor’s expertise with former XCOM developers.
The images depict a Mandalorian character targeting a Republic clone trooper, with a “95% hit chance” indicator. The interface includes options like thermal detonators and an “Overwatch” feature, allowing characters to automatically fire at enemies entering their line of sight. Additionally, there’s a headquarters area offering interactions with the Armory, Holotable, Special Ops, and Black Market.
This project marks a collaboration between Respawn, known for titles like “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor,” and Bit Reactor, a studio formed by veterans of XCOM and Civilization. The game is set to be officially unveiled at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, Japan, on April 19, 2025.
