First Reported by Insider Gaming Eidos-Montréal has reportedly pitched a new Deus Ex game to various publishers. Despite these efforts, no publisher has committed to the project, with some viewing the series as “too niche” and expressing concerns over the financial risks involved.
This initiative is separate from a previous Deus Ex project that was under development for two years before being cancelled in early 2024 as part of Embracer Group’s restructuring efforts.
The last main entry in the Deus Ex series, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, was released in 2016.
Eidos-Montréal continues to explore opportunities to revive the Deus Ex franchise, though securing support for a new installment has proven challenging.
