Nintendo Switch 2 Preorders Delayed in USA Due To Tariffs, Release Date Still June 5

Oh Dear

Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has announced that pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 in the United States, initially scheduled to begin on April 9, 2025, have been postponed. This decision comes as the company assesses the potential impact of newly proposed tariffs on imported goods. President Donald Trump has introduced tariffs of up to 34% on products imported from China, where many of the Switch 2’s components are manufactured.

Despite this delay in pre-order availability, Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 will still launch in the U.S. on June 5, 2025, as previously announced. The company assures consumers that the release date remains unchanged.
