Nintendo has announced that Australian Nintendo Switch Online members can pre-order the exclusive wireless GameCube controller for the Nintendo Switch 2 starting Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM AEST through the My Nintendo Store. Pre-orders will remain open until April 30, 2025. To participate, interested customers must register their interest by April 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM AEST.

The GameCube controller is designed for use exclusively with the Nintendo Switch 2 and features a new ‘C’ button for enhanced gameplay. Pricing details have not yet been announced. Additionally, pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 console and other accessories, including the Pro Controller, are available through various Australian retailers such as EB Games and JB Hi-Fi.
