After turning heads on PC earlier this year, FragPunk is officially set to make its console debut on April 29, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Developed by Bad Guitar Studio and published by NetEase Games, FragPunk is a free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter that’s shaking up the competitive scene with its flashy visuals, frenetic pacing, and an innovative card-based twist that separates it from the pack.

A Hero Shooter With a Strategic Edge

At its core, FragPunk is a team-based shooter—but what sets it apart are the Shard Cards: over 150 unique power-up cards that dynamically alter each round with gameplay modifiers. Want gravity-defying jumps? How about invisibility mid-match? The cards bring a fresh layer of unpredictability and strategy that keeps matches feeling fast and flexible.

Each of the game’s heroes (called “Fraggers”) comes with their own abilities and weapons, offering a deep roster for players to experiment with.

Crossplay, Progression, and Console Rewards

Console players won’t be left behind—FragPunk launches with full crossplay and cross-progression support. Whether you’re jumping in on PC, PS5, or Xbox, your progress carries over seamlessly. The devs have confirmed that Season 1 content will be available across all platforms at launch.

To thank console fans for their patience, exclusive rewards and in-game gifts will be handed out—including cosmetics and limited-time event items. Players who purchased the Pioneer Bundle on console will receive even more bonuses.

When Can You Play?

FragPunk goes live on April 29, 2025, with global servers opening at 10:00 AM AEST for Melbourne-based players. Pre-load information hasn’t been confirmed yet, but more details are expected soon.
