PlayStation has quietly introduced new animated backgrounds for the PS5 Welcome tab, enhancing the personalization options for users’ home screens. These backgrounds feature various PlayStation franchises, adding dynamic visuals to the console’s interface.
Available Animated Backgrounds:
- Astro Bot
- Days Gone
- Demon’s Souls
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Ghost of Yotei
- God of War Ragnarok
- Horizon Call of the Mountain
- Horizon Forbidden West
- LEGO Horizon Adventures
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Rise of the Ronin
- Stellar Blade
- MLB The Show 25
Accessing the Animated Backgrounds:
- Ensure Your PS5 is Updated:
- Navigate to Settings > System > System Software.
- Select System Software Update and Settings.
- Choose Update System Software to install the latest updates.
- Set the Animated Background:
- From the Welcome screen, press the Options button on your controller.
- Select Change Background.
- Choose From Games to view available animated backgrounds.
Availability:
The rollout of these animated backgrounds is gradual, and not all users may have access immediately. If you don’t see the new backgrounds, it’s recommended to check periodically, as PlayStation continues to expand availability.
