After months of speculation and fan requests, Zenless Zone Zero is finally heading to Xbox. The stylish action RPG from HoYoverse will make its debut on Xbox Series X|S this June, coinciding with the highly anticipated 2.0 update—one of the game’s most significant content drops since launch.

A New Era for ZZZ on Xbox

Previously exclusive to PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile platforms, the upcoming Xbox launch is more than just a port. HoYoverse has confirmed the game will take full advantage of Xbox Series X|S hardware. That includes DirectX RayTracing, HDR support, native 4K resolution, and consistent 60FPS gameplay.

In a statement released earlier this week, HoYoverse emphasized their commitment to making the Xbox experience “on par or better” than its existing platforms. Players on Xbox can also expect cross-progression and server flexibility, allowing linked accounts across platforms—a must-have in today’s multi-platform gaming ecosystem.

What’s in the 2.0 Update?

The 2.0 expansion brings with it a brand-new story arc set in the Waifei Peninsula, a never-before-seen area packed with fresh narrative threads, mysterious characters, and unique enemy types. Insider sources suggest the update will also introduce at least two new Agents and potentially a major shift in the core narrative direction.

While HoYoverse hasn’t revealed full patch notes yet, early teaser footage hints at new traversal mechanics, additional boss fight variants, and expanded customization options.

In a move that’s becoming increasingly common, Zenless Zone Zero will be included as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via Xbox Cloud Gaming. Subscribers will not only gain instant access to the title but will also receive exclusive in-game rewards with each major update—starting with a cosmetic bundle and a stack of premium in-game currency at launch.
