Persona 4 Remake Rumors Intensify After Mysterious Website Update

Very Interesting

The rumor mill is spinning once again for Persona fans, as speculation surrounding a Persona 4 remake has picked up major steam following a quiet but notable update to a suspicious new domain: p4re.jp.

The domain, first registered on March 20, 2025, by the same company that held the domain for Persona 3 Reload (p3re.jp), was updated just days ago on April 21. While Atlus has yet to officially acknowledge the site or any project associated with it, the move is eerily similar to how the Persona 3 Reload reveal was orchestrated—a subtle website update ahead of a major event reveal.

Patterns Repeat Themselves

Fans were quick to notice the parallels. Before Persona 3 Reload was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2023, its domain quietly went live and was later updated, triggering waves of speculation—speculation that ultimately proved accurate. Now, with “P4RE” likely standing for “Persona 4 Remake,” the fan base is on high alert.

Adding further fuel to the fire, Persona 4 series vocalist Shihoko Hirata has reportedly been seen recording new material at Atlus’ in-house studio. While not confirmation of anything, the timing is curious and has led some fans to believe that Atlus is gearing up for something big—possibly a full-scale remake announcement.

All Eyes on June

With the Xbox Games Showcase set for June 8, 2025, many in the community believe it’s only a matter of time before the curtains are pulled back. If Persona 4 Remake is real—and all signs point to yes—then a major reveal during the summer event would be right in line with Atlus’ recent marketing strategies.

It’s also worth noting that Persona 4 remains one of the most beloved entries in the franchise, and a remake in the vein of Persona 3 Reload would make perfect sense. The success of Reload, both critically and commercially, has seemingly paved the way for more modern reimagining’s of older titles.

Until Atlus makes anything official, fans will have to wait—and speculate. But one thing’s for certain: the fog is lifting, and we might be heading back to Inaba sooner than expected.
