MARVEL 1943: Rise of Hydra Has Been Delayed to Early 2026

Before the Avengers, there was resistance

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, the upcoming single-player action-adventure title from Skydance New Media, has officially been delayed to early 2026, announced in a new social media post.

The game, first announced in 2022 and helmed by Uncharted creator Amy Hennig, was previously targeting a 2025 release. The delay is reportedly due to ongoing development refinements, as the team continues to polish gameplay, visuals, and story pacing.

Set during World War II, Rise of Hydra features four protagonists—Captain America, Azzuri (the Black Panther of the era), Gabriel Jones, and Wakandan spy Nanali—as they battle the growing threat of Hydra across occupied Paris.

Skydance New Media last showed a cinematic trailer in March 2024, showcasing brief glimpses of the game’s dual-character structure, immersive environments, and narrative tone. While fans were expecting a release window announcement later this year, internal projections have now shifted the launch into Q1 2026.
