With a nod to game preservation, Xbox have announced Retro Classics, a new category coming to Game Pass. To get things started, they have worked with Antstream to bring over 50 classic Activision games from the 80s and 90s to the service.
With Retro Classics, Game Pass members can expect a seamless gaming experience across console, PC, and on supported devices with cloud gaming.
All games have the benefit of being able to save and reload progress, which wasn’t available on every original title.

Retro Classics is available on all level of Game Pass, in all regions, except Game Pass Core in Japan. Xbox has a Frequently Asked Questions page here.
This is part of the larger May 2025 Xbox update, which includes new Xbox Play Anywhere titles, Stream Your Own Game games, and new features in the Xbox Game Bar including a web browser.
