Obsidian Entertainment has officially announced Grounded 2, the highly anticipated sequel to their 2020 survival game. Set to launch on July 29, 2025, the game will be available in Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access for $29.99, with full cross-play support and Xbox Game Pass availability at launch.

A New Setting: Welcome to Brookhollow Park

Grounded 2 shifts its setting from the backyard to Brookhollow Park, a sprawling suburban wilderness inspired by the 1990s. The starting area alone is nearly as large as the entire original backyard map, offering players a vast new environment to explore, build, and survive.

Enhanced Combat and Community-Driven Development

The sequel introduces “Combat 2.0,” featuring new mechanics like dodging and smarter enemy AI, making encounters more dynamic and challenging. Obsidian continues its commitment to community-driven development, with a public roadmap and regular updates shaped by player feedback.
