Konami is gearing up for a big week with the return of its Press Start Live digital showcase, scheduled for Thursday, June 12, at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET / 11:00 PM AEST. The presentation will run for approximately 37 minutes and will feature major updates on some of the publisher’s most anticipated projects—including the long-awaited Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and Silent Hill f.
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater – A Classic Reborn
Leading the charge is Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, a faithful remake of the iconic 2004 stealth-action game Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Rebuilt from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the remake promises updated visuals, smoother animations, and modernized controls like crouch-walking and real-time camouflage customization all while preserving the original’s legendary story and voice acting.
Set for release in August 2025 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this reimagining of Snake’s origin story is poised to reintroduce a new generation to one of gaming’s most influential tactical espionage adventures.
Silent Hill f – A Haunting New Direction
Also on deck is Silent Hill f, the latest evolution of Konami’s storied horror franchise. Set in 1960s Japan, the game marks a stark departure from previous entries, embracing a more action-driven design while retaining the psychological horror roots that defined the series.
Silent Hill f is being developed in collaboration with NeoBards Entertainment and renowned writer Ryukishi07, best known for his work on When They Cry. The game is expected to launch on September 25, 2025, and will take full advantage of next-gen hardware to deliver a chillingly immersive experience.
And More Surprises in Store
While Snake Eater and Silent Hill f are set to be the main attractions, Konami has confirmed that the showcase will also include updates on additional upcoming projects. Fans can expect developer insights, deep dives, and potentially a few surprise announcements.
The showcase will be streamed live on Konami’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, and will be available for on-demand viewing shortly after.
With Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill both making major comebacks, Konami’s Press Start Showcase could mark a turning point for the company’s modern resurgence in the core gaming space. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to these franchises, Thursday’s presentation is one worth tuning into.
