In a move that’s both unexpected and exciting, IO Interactive has officially announced that HITMAN World of Assassination is coming to iPhone, iPad, and Mac this summer. The acclaimed stealth-action trilogy, which brings together HITMAN (2016), HITMAN 2 (2018), and HITMAN 3 (2021), will soon be playable natively on Apple devices—no cloud streaming necessary.

A Killer Port for Apple Devices

Rather than relying on a streaming service, HITMAN World of Assassination will run directly on iOS and macOS hardware, optimized specifically for Apple Silicon. This means devices like the iPhone 15 Pro, M1/M2 iPads, and Apple Silicon Macs will offer the full Agent 47 experience with native performance and graphical fidelity.

IO Interactive’s decision to bring the complete World of Assassination trilogy to Apple hardware shows a growing confidence in the gaming capabilities of mobile and tablet devices. Players will be able to carry out intricate assassinations, navigate richly detailed sandbox levels, and enjoy the game’s signature freedom of approach whether they’re on the couch or on the go.

Everything Fans Expect—Now On the Go

The mobile and Mac versions of the game won’t be stripped-down adaptations. Players can expect all of the following:

• All three mainline HITMAN campaigns
• Bonus missions and special assignments
• The fan-favourite Elusive Targets
• Escalation Contracts, Sniper Assassin, and Freelancer Mode
• Full support for touch controls and external gamepads

Freelancer Mode, in particular, adds a roguelike twist to the stealth formula. Players take on randomized missions, build a safehouse, and plan each operation with limited resources, giving veterans of the series an entirely new challenge.

A Broader Celebration of 25 Years of HITMAN

This summer rollout is part of a larger celebration of the HITMAN franchise’s 25th anniversary. Alongside the mobile release, IO Interactive is also working on:
