What the Showcase Covers

Set roughly 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei follows Atsu, a lone mercenary seeking revenge on the Yōtei Six, a deadly crew who slaughtered her family. The game trades Tsushima’s sun-drenched islands for Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido) a harsh, snow-covered land teeming with enemies and political tension.

Expect to see:

  • Upgraded stealth mechanics and open-world exploration
  • New weapons including early firearms
  • Non-linear mission structure with open-ended target hunting
  • Deeper customization and consequence-driven storytelling

Creative leads Nate Fox and Jason Connell will guide players through new gameplay, special systems, and how Ghost of Yōtei builds on its predecessor’s legacy.

Release Date Confirmed

Ghost of Yōtei will officially launch October 2, 2025, exclusively on PlayStation 5.

Whether you’re a long time fan of Ghost of Tsushima or a newcomer drawn to samurai stealth-action, this is one State of Play you won’t want to miss.
