After selling out quickly during its initial 2024 launch, Sony has confirmed that Australia will receive a restock of the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection this November 2025. Fans who missed out on the nostalgia-driven, PS1-inspired designs will soon have another chance to add some limited-edition hardware to their setup though not every item from the original release is making a comeback.
What’s Coming Back?
According to GadgetGuy Australia, the following anniversary products will be restocked:
- PS5 Slim Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Edition
- 30th Anniversary DualSense Wireless Controller
- PlayStation Portal – 30th Anniversary Edition

These devices all sport a unique retro grey finish modelled after the original 1994 PlayStation, complete with subtle anniversary branding and a box design that mimics the classic console packaging. Fans and collectors praised the aesthetic last year, and demand quickly overwhelmed supply.
The upcoming restock will allow a wider group of players to experience the anniversary magic especially as PlayStation’s current-gen hardware continues to expand in popularity.
What’s Not Returning?
While the standard PS5 Slim bundle and accessories are coming back, not all of the original 30th Anniversary Collection items will be restocked.
Notably missing:
- PS5 Pro – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition
- DualSense Edge – 30th Anniversary Controller

These were part of the ultra-limited launch wave and, as of now, remain exclusive to 2024 buyers. Sony has not indicated any plans to restock or reissue these particular items.
Why the Restock Matters
Sony rarely does celebratory hardware editions outside of major releases like Final Fantasy or Spider-Man. The 30th Anniversary Collection marked one of the few times the company celebrated its history so directly and it resonated globally. Australia’s inclusion in the restock ensures local fans won’t be left relying on international resellers with steep price markups.
The decision to restock comes at a time when limited editions are increasingly difficult to purchase due to botting, reseller inflation, and global supply fluctuations.
When and Where To Buy
The restock is scheduled for November 2025, nearly a year after the original release on 21 November 2024. An exact day has not been confirmed, but based on previous drops, it will likely go live mid-month.
Major retailers to watch:
- JB Hi-Fi
- EB Games
- Amazon Australia
- Big W
- Sony Store Online
Fans are encouraged to follow PlayStation Australia and participating retailers on social media or sign up for email alerts to ensure they don’t miss the moment the items go live. We will keep you posted and let you know when we know more.
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection isn’t just a nostalgia trip For collectors, long-time PlayStation fans, or anyone who simply appreciates beautiful hardware design, this restock is a second chance to own a piece of that legacy.
Just don’t expect it to sit on shelves for long. For more on and all things Gaming be sure to stay locked to 1-Up Games.
