Nintendo has officially announced a new Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase set for Wednesday, July 31, 2025. The 25-minute presentation will focus exclusively on third-party games coming to both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.
Unlike traditional Nintendo Directs that highlight first-party titles like Mario, Zelda, and Metroid, this Partner Showcase shifts the spotlight to games developed and published by external partners. The event will stream live at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 11 p.m. AEST via Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
Nintendo has confirmed the presentation will run approximately 25 minutes and will showcase a variety of games “launching on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 in the coming months.”
No first-party content is expected, which means fans looking forward to updates on Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of the Depths, or a new Mario Kart installment might need to wait for a broader Nintendo Direct later this year.
However, that doesn’t mean expectations are low. Nintendo’s third-party showcases often include some major reveals, and this year’s is expected to be no different.
While Nintendo remains tight-lipped on specific titles, the rumour mill has been churning. Here are some my guesses of the most likely candidates fans might see:
- Persona 3 Reload: After Atlus brought Persona 5 Royal to the Switch, many fans anticipate an announcement for P3R, optimized for both Switch and Switch 2.
- Hades II: With its early access success on PC, Supergiant Games could confirm a Switch release window.
- Hollow Knight: Silksong: A game that’s practically become a legend due to its long development cycle. It was initially expected years ago and continues to appear on wishlists worldwide.
- Star Wars Outlaws: Though previously shown as a high-end title, rumours suggest a cloud version or optimized port might be in the works.
- Starfield: I Feel like Xbox have to be there and what better game to bring then starfield after a recent update might be time to get it into the hands of more gamers
- Duskbloods: The Duskbloods is a multiplayer action role-playing game that features player versus player (PvP) and player versus environment (PvE) gameplay for up to eight participants.
