ARC Raiders Skips Beta Testing and Gamescom Ahead of October Launch

The next time you play ARC Raiders, it’ll be the real thing.

Embark Studios has confirmed that ARC Raiders won’t be hosting another beta before its full release, and the game will also be absent from Gamescom later this month.

The announcement comes just over two months before the game’s scheduled launch on October 30, 2025. According to the developers, all resources are now being directed toward polishing the game and implementing improvements based on feedback from earlier technical tests. The team says the decision to forgo another public playtest was made to ensure the final product meets their quality expectations without introducing last-minute issues.

While some fans might be disappointed at the lack of a fresh hands-on opportunity, Embark has reassured players that the game’s core features are locked in, and development is progressing smoothly. The studio also made it clear that they won’t be showing new footage or hosting panels at Gamescom, opting instead to stay focused on internal work as the release date draws near.

First announced back in 2021, ARC Raiders has steadily built anticipation thanks to its blend of cooperative gameplay and striking sci-fi visuals. Despite some delays and a pivot in design focus, the project has remained one of the most wishlisted titles on Steam. With launch now on the horizon, it appears Embark wants to avoid any distractions that could pull attention away from finishing touches.

Players can expect more detailed updates as October approaches, though for now, it seems the studio’s message is simple: the next time you play ARC Raiders, it’ll be the real thing.
