Next Tales of Remastered Project Reveal Set for August 19

COME ON XILLIA

Bandai Namco has officially confirmed that the next entry in its ongoing Tales of Remastered Project will be unveiled on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The reveal is set for 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET, with streams planned in both English and Japanese through Bandai Namco’s YouTube channels.

For fans in Australia, that timing translates to:

  • Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane / CanberraWednesday, August 20 at 12:00 a.m. (midnight)
  • Adelaide / DarwinWednesday, August 20 at 11:30 p.m. (August 19)
  • PerthWednesday, August 20 at 10:00 p.m. (August 19)

This will be the first new Tales remaster announcement since Tales of Symphonia Remastered launched in 2023. Bandai Namco has said it intends to bring more of its classic RPGs to modern platforms, and leaks over the past few months suggest that Tales of Xillia, possibly bundled with its sequel, is a strong candidate for this reveal.

The Tales series has built a passionate following since the mid-1990s, with each entry balancing anime-inspired storytelling, party-driven character arcs, and the franchise’s trademark Linear Motion Battle System. A polished remaster of Xillia a game that originally released on PlayStation 3 in 2011 would give newer players a chance to experience one of the series’ more modern fan favourites on current hardware.

Whatever the game ends up being, Bandai Namco clearly intends to keep its remaster initiative alive, giving longtime fans another chance to revisit beloved entries while opening the door for new players to discover them.

Australian audiences eager to tune in will want to set their alarms late Tuesday night or just after midnight Wednesday morning, depending on their state. With the company hyping the reveal in advance, expectations are running high for one of the series’ most requested remasters.
