The Mafia series may not be finished with The Old Country just yet. In a recent livestream appearance, actress Carina Conti, who plays Isabella Torrisi in the newly released prequel, mentioned that another game in the franchise has already been given the green light.
Conti was speaking with content creator Bubbly Nuggets when the topic of Mafia’s future came up. According to her, Hangar 13 has already received approval to begin work on another entry. While she stopped short of confirming details about its direction whether a continuation of The Old Country, a new storyline altogether, or even a remake her comments suggest the series will remain an active priority for publisher 2K.
Given the warm reception The Old Country has received, it would make sense for 2K to keep momentum going. The Mafia series has long had a dedicated following, and the return to its roots with a 1920s-era backdrop has been viewed as a successful revitalization. Another installment would allow Hangar 13 to build on that goodwill and perhaps explore new corners of the criminal underworld the franchise has always thrived on.
For now, fans should treat this as an unconfirmed tease. Until an official announcement comes from the studio or publisher, the next chapter in Mafia remains a matter of speculation. Still, the idea that plans are already moving forward is enough to keep anticipation alive.
