Sony Launches Franchise Rewards: Ghost of Tsushima Leads New In-Game Achievement Collectibles Program

Hell Yes

Sony has unveiled Franchise Rewards, a new initiative that bridges the gap between in-game accomplishments and real-world merchandise. The program very much like Bungie Rewards allows players to earn access to exclusive collectibles that celebrate their digital achievements, with Ghost of Tsushima being the first title to kick things off under the name Ghost Rewards.

Through this program, players who complete specific milestones in Ghost of Tsushima will unlock the opportunity to purchase themed merchandise tied directly to their progress.

Sony emphasized that Franchise Rewards is meant to add a tangible layer to players’ experiences, turning the pride of mastering challenges into something lasting beyond the screen. While Ghost Rewards is the starting point, the company has already hinted that additional PlayStation franchises will join the initiative in the future, suggesting the likes of God of War, Horizon, and The Last of Us could see similar treatment Ghost of Yotei rewards have already been confirmed to be coming later this year.

For fans of Ghost of Tsushima, it’s a chance to carry a piece of Jin Sakai’s legacy from the battlefield into their everyday lives.
