Capcom has confirmed that C. Viper will be the next DLC fighter to hit Street Fighter 6, and she’s arriving sooner than expected. Fans can mark their calendars for October 15, the date she officially steps back into the ring as part of the game’s Year 3 content rollout.
For players who remember her debut in Street Fighter IV, this is a big return. Viper stood out from the start thanks to her gadget-driven fighting style, mixing electrified strikes, flame-fueled attacks, and aerial mobility that set her apart from the rest of the cast. That same flashy, high-risk toolkit is making the jump into Street Fighter 6, now with some refinements that tie into her updated role as the Research Director for SiRN.
At launch, C. Viper comes with two costumes. Her default look reflects her new in-universe position, giving her a sleeker, more professional edge, while her alternate outfit pays homage to her classic appearance. The nostalgic version can be unlocked either by purchasing it with Fighter Coins or by building her bond in World Tour mode.
The update on October 15 doesn’t stop with Viper, either. The crossover event with Banshee’s Last Cry goes live on the same day, introducing themed content for players to chase in World Tour. Zangief also gets a flashy new mech-themed Outfit 4, giving grappler mains a reason to celebrate alongside Viper fans.
C. Viper’s arrival continues Capcom’s steady drip of DLC support for Street Fighter 6. While the base roster has already earned praise for its depth and diversity, these post-launch additions keep the game feeling fresh for both casual and competitive players. Considering how influential Viper was in the SFIV scene, it’ll be fascinating to see where she lands in the modern meta once pros get their hands on her.
With just a couple of weeks to go before she joins the fight, the wait is almost over. Whether you’re a long-time fan eager to dust off her combos or a newcomer curious about one of the series’ flashiest characters, October 15 is shaping up to be a big day for Street Fighter 6.
