It looks like Capcom might have another surprise up its sleeve for Resident Evil Requiem. Earlier today, eagle-eyed fans noticed something interesting on the Portuguese PlayStation Store. The pre-order page for the game’s Deluxe Edition briefly mentioned a Leon S. Kennedy “DSO Special Agent” skin, sparking speculation that the fan-favourite agent could be making an appearance in the upcoming entry.
The listing was quickly edited, but not before screenshots started making their way around social media and Reddit. According to users who caught the original post, the Deluxe Edition included several exclusive cosmetic items one of which was a Leon outfit seemingly inspired by his look in Resident Evil 6, complete with the DSO logo.
The discovery was first amplified by known industry leaker Dusk Golem, who claimed the reference was visible on the Portuguese page for several hours before it was removed. While Capcom hasn’t commented on the situation, the sudden edit suggests the mention may have gone live earlier than intended.
Fans are already buzzing about what this could mean for Requiem’s story. Leon is one of the most iconic faces in the franchise, last seen in Resident Evil 4 Remake and Death Island. The idea of his inclusion whether as a playable character or simply a bonus skin is enough to stir up major excitement among long-time players.
Until then, fans can only speculate. Is Leon’s “DSO Special Agent” skin just a Deluxe Edition bonus, or is it hinting at a deeper connection to the story? For now, Capcom remains silent but the quick edit on the PlayStation Portugal page speaks volumes.
Whether intentional or not, the leak has done its job: the Resident Evil community is paying attention.
