Epic Games has teamed up with Disney once again, and this time they’re taking players straight to the Happiest Place on Earth. Fortnite’s Disneyland Game Rush, a new Creative island experience, launches November 6, 2025 and it’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious collaborations the platform has ever seen.
Built entirely within Fortnite’s Creative mode, Game Rush is more than just a themed map. It’s a digital re-imagining of Disneyland Resort in California, created to celebrate the park’s 70th anniversary. The island acts as both a hub world and a gateway to seven themed mini-games, each inspired by classic attractions from Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
A Theme Park Built for Fortnite
Players begin their journey at the entrance plaza, complete with a stylized version of Sleeping Beauty Castle and anniversary décor. From there, they can explore the park freely or dive straight into the mini-games. Each one is built around a different ride or area of the park including Space Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and Indiana Jones Adventure.
The mini-games range from platforming challenges to high-speed races. One, Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Sneak Out!, drops players into an escape mission through a neon-lit fortress. Another, Matterhorn: Slip-and-Climb, has you scrambling up icy cliffs while dodging falling debris. There’s even a Star Wars-themed survival mode called Stormtrooper Showdown, set on the outskirts of Galaxy’s Edge.
Every attraction rewards players with points and cosmetic items that can be used throughout the park. Disney’s developers reportedly worked closely with Epic’s Creative team to make sure the atmosphere captured the essence of both brands the childlike wonder of Disneyland and the chaos of Fortnite’s sandbox.
A Step Toward the Disneyverse?
This release feels like more than a simple tie-in. After Disney’s $1.5 billion investment into Epic Games earlier this year, collaborations like this seem to be testing the waters for something much larger perhaps a shared online world where Disney properties coexist under Fortnite’s creative infrastructure.
Whether that dream pans out or not, Disneyland Game Rush already feels like a glimpse into the future of brand-driven interactive experiences. It’s playful, accessible, and, above all, fun the kind of crossover that reminds players why Fortnite has remained a cultural phenomenon for almost a decade.
As the gates open on November 6, one thing’s certain: this won’t be just another island drop. It’s a small world after all and it’s landing inside Fortnite.
