If you’ve been hungry for fresh content in Elden Ring Nightreign, you’re about to get it and sooner than many expected. Developer FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that the game’s first major DLC expansion, The Forsaken Hollows, is launching globally on December 4, 2025.
What the Expansion Brings
According to the announcement:
- It includes two additional Nightfarers (playable characters) and one new Shifting Earth a fresh mission or map variant layered into the Nightreign structure.
- The Steam page lists the DLC for US$15 / ¥1,760, making it a relatively accessible add-on rather than a full major priced expansion.
- Available platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Essentially all platforms that the base game supports.
For fans who jumped into Nightreign when it launched in May 2025, the announcement of The Forsaken Hollows comes as very welcome news. The core game introduced three-player co-op runs through Limveld with surviving night-cycles and fighting Nightlords. This DLC looks to deepen the experience with new characters/story modes and broader replay potential.
FromSoftware had indicated previously that they intended to release “additional DLC by Q4 2025” for Nightreign. Now, with a specific date locked in, players know exactly when to prepare.
If you’re in Australia, you’ll likely see the update unlock early morning local time on December 4 or shortly thereafter depending on your store/region.
The Forsaken Hollows looks like the perfect time for Nightfarers to dive back in, sharpen their build, and see what new threats await in the eternal night. Whether you’ve already completed countless runs or have been waiting for new content, December 4 could be the revival point the game needs.
