Ubisoft’s latest financial update has landed, and for once, the company isn’t talking about delays, restructuring, or cancelled projects. Instead, it’s celebrating something far more welcome: a sharp rise in revenue and overall performance across multiple divisions.
The report, released earlier today, highlights a significant boost driven largely by strong digital sales, continued engagement with long-running franchises, and what Ubisoft calls “better-than-expected player retention” in several live-service titles. It’s a noticeable shift in tone from the last few years, where the publisher often felt stuck between uneven game releases and internal turbulence.
A big contributor to the upswing is Assassin’s Creed. The series continues to be a reliable engine for Ubisoft, with both new updates and ongoing player activity maintaining strong momentum. Meanwhile, Rainbow Six Siege is somehow still drawing in fresh players nearly a decade after launch, adding another dependable pillar to the company’s numbers.
The report also points to improved cost management Ubisoft’s polite way of saying the tough decisions they made over the last two years are finally paying off on the balance sheet. While layoffs and cancelled projects have been painful, the publisher is clearly trying to show investors that the restructuring phase has steadied the ship.
New releases played a role too, with several recent titles outperforming internal expectations. Ubisoft didn’t name exact figures for each game, but noted “broad-based success” across action, racing, and fantasy titles. In short, nothing exploded into a megahit, but a wide range of games performed well enough to collectively lift the company’s outlook.
Investors responded quickly. Ubisoft’s stock ticked upward shortly after the report was published, a sign that confidence in the publisher’s direction might finally be returning.
Whether this marks a true long-term turnaround or just a bright quarter in a turbulent era remains to be seen, but for now, Ubisoft finally has something simple and positive to point to: business is good, and moving in the right direction.

I wonder how all the cancelled project impacted their financials.
