It looks like Xbox may have jumped the gun on Forza Horizon 6. According to reports from players, an in-game pop-up spotted inside Forza Horizon 5 appears to reveal the release date for the next entry in Playground Games’ open-world racing series.
The pop-up reportedly lists Forza Horizon 6 launching on May 19, with early access beginning on May 15 for players who purchase the Premium Edition. While Microsoft and Playground Games have yet to officially confirm the date, the appearance of the message inside an existing Forza title has quickly raised eyebrows.

If accurate, the timing lines up neatly with how Microsoft has handled previous Forza Horizon launches. Early access for Premium Edition owners has become standard practice for the series, offering a few days of head start alongside bonus cars, expansions, and VIP perks. A mid-May release would also place the game squarely in a quieter release window, giving it room to dominate attention before the usual late-year rush.
Until Microsoft confirms anything publicly, Most likely at the upcoming developer direct the reported dates should be taken with a grain of salt. That said, when release information starts appearing inside a live game, it’s usually a sign that plans are further along than the silence suggests.
For now, Forza Horizon 5 players may have already seen the future of the franchise whether Xbox meant to show it or not.
