Nintendo has revealed a new twist on Super Mario Bros. Wonder, announcing a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park set to launch on March 26. The news was shared via Nintendo Today, alongside confirmation of a new wave of amiibo tied to the game.
The Switch 2 edition appears positioned as a refreshed release built specifically for Nintendo’s next-generation hardware, though Nintendo has yet to outline technical differences beyond the updated branding. What has been confirmed is the inclusion of a new in-game experience titled “Meetup in Bellabel Park,” suggesting an additional playable mode or expanded content tied to the Flower Kingdom setting.
Launching alongside the new edition is a lineup of Super Mario Bros. Wonder amiibo, including:
- Elephant Mario
- Poplin & Prince Florian
- Captain Toad & Talking Flower

Nintendo also confirmed that the Talking Flower amiibo will release earlier than the rest, arriving on March 12, with pre-orders going live later today. The remaining figures are scheduled to launch alongside the game on March 26.

While Nintendo is keeping specifics close to the chest, the timing and branding strongly suggest Super Mario Bros. Wonder is being positioned as an early showcase title for Switch 2, pairing an already acclaimed Mario entry with new content and collectible support. The addition of Bellabel Park content hints at Nintendo continuing its recent trend of extending flagship releases rather than moving on immediately to full sequels.
More details on gameplay additions and Switch 2-specific enhancements are expected closer to launch, but for now, Mario fans won’t have to wait long to return to the Flower Kingdom this time with new surprises, new hardware, and a Talking Flower that’s finally getting its own amiibo spotlight.
