Lot’s to look forward to

After a bumpy end to 2025, ARC Raiders is finally getting the clarity its community has been asking for. Embark Studios has officially pulled back the curtain on a four-month content roadmap, outlining what players can expect from January through April 2026 and it’s a steady drip of updates rather than a one-and-done content drop.

The roadmap arrives at a crucial moment for the extraction adventure, which launched in October 2025 and struggled over the holiday period with exploits, cheaters, and stability issues. With the studio now fully back from the festive break, Embark appears ready to reset the tone and give players something tangible to look forward to.

Rather than bundling content into a single seasonal update, Embark is committing to one themed update per month, each bringing a mix of gameplay changes, new ARC threats, map tweaks, and lore expansions.

Here’s how the first stretch of 2026 is shaping up:

January – Headwinds

  • New matchmaking option (Level 40+)
  • New minor map condition
  • Player Project

February – Shrouded Sky

  • New map condition
  • New ARC threat
  • Player Project
  • Raider Deck
  • Map update
  • Expedition window

March – Flashpoint

  • New map condition
  • New ARC threat
  • Player Project
  • Scrappy update

April – Riven Tides

  • Brand-new map
  • New large ARC enemy
  • New map condition
  • Expedition window

Some of February’s additions won’t come as a surprise to long-time players. The Toxic Swamp map condition has been floating around in datamines and community discoveries for weeks, and Embark had already hinted that a new Raider Deck and Expedition window were on the way.

The bigger talking point is April. That’s when ARC Raiders will finally introduce a large-scale ARC threat alongside an entirely new map a milestone moment many expected earlier. While the wait may sting for some, February’s teased “map update” could help bridge the gap and keep the game feeling fresh in the meantime.
