He’s Back…. Maybe?

It looks like Rayman might be gearing up for a quiet return.

A listing on the Australian Classification Board has rated Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition for both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, suggesting an official announcement could be right around the corner. The classification was issued on Thursday, January 22, 2026, and assigns the game a G rating, marking it as suitable for general audiences.

According to the classification details, the title contains very mild violence with minimal impact, which lines up neatly with Rayman’s long-standing family-friendly tone.

A Classic Platformer Turns 30

Originally released in 1995, Rayman debuted on PC, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, and Atari Jaguar, quickly establishing itself as one of the era’s standout platformers. Before the Rabbids spun off into their own wildly successful franchise, Rayman himself was Ubisoft’s unofficial mascot a limbless hero front and centre during the publisher’s rise in the mid-to-late ’90s.

A 30th Anniversary Edition landing on modern consoles makes sense given the milestone, though Ubisoft has yet to formally acknowledge the project.

With classification already secured, it’s likely only a matter of time before Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition is officially revealed. Whether this is a nostalgic one-to-one revival or a modernized take on the 1995 classic remains to be seen.

For now, though, Rayman fans have something they haven’t had in a while: a solid reason to pay attention again.
